According to the study, the use of these pumps has been linked to postarthroscopic glenohumeral chondrolysis, or PAGCL. At Least 35 Cases of Severe Injury

The FDA has also found 35 cases of severe injury linked to the use of these pain pumps. While these pumps are used for shoulder speed recovery, they also come with severe risk.


These pumps reportedly used the following local anesthetics:

  • bupivacaine
  • chloroprocaine
  • lidocaine
  • mepivacaine
  • procaine
  • ropivacaine
