November 2, 2010-According to reports the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Michael Jackson’s father was rejected by a federal judge. The wrongful death lawsuit Joe Jackson filed was rejected by U.S. District Judge John F. Walter on Monday. The judge stated that Jackson would probably not be able to collect the millions of dollars the lawsuit asked for in damages in his court.Joe Jackson’s wrongful death attorney claims the singer’s rights were violated under the American’s with Disabilities Act, Judge Walter then said the rest of the claims fall under state law. The elder Jackson’s attorney said he will re-file the lawsuit in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Joe Jackson’s suit might be joined with a lawsuit filed by Michael Jackson’s mother alleging AEG the concert promoter did not supply Dr. Conrad Murray the lifesaving equipment needed or oversee the singers care by the doctor during preparations for concerts.
Murray who pleaded not guilty after being charged with involuntary manslaughter for giving Michal Jackson a lethal dose of sedatives, which includes propofol. Murray was named in the wrongful death lawsuit, but not in the AEG lawsuit.
